Data protection

Privacy policy

and

Information on the collection of personal data and legal notice.

Scope

This privacy policy informs users about the type, scope and purpose of collecting and using personal data by the responsible provider the Grown Too Quick Foundation, a registered local NGO in Malawi, Africa whose official email is [email protected] (herein referred to as “GTQF”). As a Public Trust and Charitable Organisation, the responsible provider ensures the user’s Data Protection.

Access data/server log files

The provider (or its web space provider) collects data about every access to the GTQF (so-called server log files). The access data includes:

Name of the website accessed, file, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access. The provider uses the log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the GTQF. However, the provider reserves the right to subsequently check the log data if there is reasonable suspicion of illegal use based on concrete evidence.

Contact

When contacting the provider (for example via contact form or e-mail), the user’s details are stored for the purpose of processing the request and if follow-up questions arise.

Comments and posts

When users leave comments in the guestbook or other contributions, their IP addresses are saved. This is done for the security of the provider in case someone writes illegal content in comments and contributions (insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.). In this case, the provider itself can be prosecuted for the comment or contribution and is therefore interested in the identity of the author.

Purposes for which personal data are processed

In connection with the visit to our homepage, data about the person visiting the homepage may be collected, recorded, stored, processed, queried, used and transmitted.

Overall, we speak of the “processing” of personal data. The term “processing” is the umbrella term for all of these activities. For data protection reasons, the processing of user data is only possible if a legal basis prescribes or allows this or if the user in question has given his consent.

When the user uses our website, the following data processing may be considered:

When you visit our homepage, the browser used on the user’s device automatically sends information to our website server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file.

The following information is recorded without the user’s intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:
The IP address of the requesting computer,
date and time of access,
name and URL of the retrieved file,
website from which access is made (referrer URL),
browser used and the operating system of your computer as well as the name of your access provider.

We process the above data for the following purposes:
ensuring a smooth connection to the website,
ensuring comfortable use of our website,
evaluating system security and stability
, and for other administrative purposes.

Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes for data collection listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about the user’s identity unless the users themselves have specifically consented in writing.

In addition, we use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website. You can find more detailed information about this in the following section “Analysis/Tracking Tools”.

Persons under the age of 18 should not send us any personal data without the consent of their parents or guardians. We do not request any personal data from children and young people, do not collect it, and do not pass it on to third parties.

Who has access to the data?

The persons entrusted with public relations work at the GTQF and, in the event of maintenance, web management service providers have access to stored data.

The user data is processed by specialist staff in public relations or under their responsibility. This specialist staff is subject to the obligation of confidentiality and has been accordingly obliged to maintain data secrecy.

The confidential treatment of user data is guaranteed.

Legal basis for the processing of personal data

The processing is necessary for the perception, e.g. for the public, since it is in the interest of the GTQF as the processing location.

In addition, processing is also permitted in cases where users have given us separate consent.

Possible recipients of collected data

The user data is collected within the scope of the intended purpose in compliance with the respective data protection regulations or any existing declarations of consent and, if necessary, transmitted to third parties. Such third parties include in particular external data processors (so-called contract processors), such as web hosts, i.e. companies that support our homepage and thus the Internet presence as service providers.

Security

We have taken technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. Confidential handling is guaranteed.

Comments and posts

When users leave comments in the “Contact Us” form or other contributions, their IP addresses are saved. This is done for the security of the provider in case someone writes illegal content in comments and contributions (insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.). In this case, the provider itself can be prosecuted for the comment or contribution and is therefore interested in the identity of the author.

Cookies

When users access the service, one or more cookies are stored on their computer. A cookie is a small file that contains a specific character string and uniquely identifies your browser. The provider uses cookies to improve the comfort and quality of its service, for example by storing user settings. Cookies do not cause any damage to the user’s computer and do not contain any viruses.

The service can also be used without cookies. Users can deactivate the storage of cookies in their browser, restrict them to certain websites, or set their browser to notify them before a cookie is stored. You can also delete cookies from your computer’s hard drive at any time using your browser’s privacy functions. However, in this case, the service’s functions and user-friendliness could be restricted.

Analysis/tracking tools

We do not use any tracking tools.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be passed on to third parties. You can prevent the use of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

Linking to social media platforms

The GTQF do not use so-called social plugins. The links to GTQF’s central Facebook and LinkedIn presence are created exclusively through image link elements that do not pass on personal data such as IP addresses to this or other networks.

However, if you are logged into your personal Facebook or LinkedIn user account while visiting any website – for example, ours – information can be forwarded to Facebook and stored there. To prevent this, you must log out of your Facebook account beforehand. The same applies to numerous other web services (Google, etc.).

Right to information, rectification, erasure, etc.

The user of our GTQF is entitled to so-called data subject rights, i.e. rights that the user can exercise as a data subject in an individual case.

Right to information
The user has the right to information about the personal data stored concerning him.

Right to rectification

If a user discovers that incorrect data about him or her is being processed, he or she can request rectification. Incomplete data must be completed taking into account the purpose of the processing.

Right to erasure
The user has the right to request the erasure of his data if certain reasons for erasure exist. This is particularly the case if the data is no longer required for the purpose for which it was originally collected or processed.

Right to restriction of processing
A user has the right to restrict the processing of his data. This means that his data will not be deleted, but will be marked to restrict its further processing or use.

Right to object to unreasonable data processing
The user has a general right of objection, even against lawful data processing that is in the public interest, is carried out in the exercise of public authority or on the basis of the legitimate interest of an authority.

Revocation of consent granted

The user of our GTQF has the right to revoke consent to data processing at any time. This declaration can be sent in writing to the responsible body (see address below). There is no need to state reasons. However, a revocation only applies from the time at which it is made. It has no retroactive effect. The processing of personal data up to this point remains lawful.
