“No child should grow too quickly” is the central focus of the Grown Too Quick Foundation (GTQF), inspired by the personal journey of its founder, Francis Nkhoma. Having taken on parental responsibilities from just 13 years old, Francis understands firsthand the challenges faced by underprivileged children who are forced into adulthood too soon, worse when they have other siblings to take care of. With an almost nonexistent social security system in Malawi, children growing up in child-headed families are more susceptible.

This initiative is a direct response based on lived experiences, ensuring that no child is robbed of their childhood due to poverty, lack of resources, or adverse social conditions.

Every child matters, no matter who, where, or what. Psychologists and social and natural scientists agree that childhood experiences play a critical role in adulthood, personal growth, and career success.
