From Small Steps to Lasting Change: GTQF’s 1010 Trees Initiative.
At the Grown Too Quick Foundation (GTQF), we believe that shaping noble, upright, and responsible young people goes hand in hand with taking care of the environment they live in and that they will inherit. In a bold step towards sustainability, GTQF has launched an ambitious campaign to plant 1010 trees annually until 2030—a direct contribution to SDG 13: Climate Action.
Under the banner “Small Steps Matter: 1010 Trees Planted,” young volunteers and community members joined hands to restore the environment and inspire a generation committed to climate responsibility. 1010 trees were planted at Michiru Nature Sanctuary mountain, where greenery is slowly vanishing due to human activity. The initiative not only enhances greenery but also strengthens ecosystems, improves air quality, and mitigates the impact of climate change. Malawi is among the countries most vulnerable to climate change, as witnessed by frequent cyclones and El Niño-induced droughts.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to St. George’s Anglican Church Berlin members for their green commitments and for funding this cause. Special thanks to all the dedicated volunteers who made this milestone possible.
Join us as we take small but meaningful steps towards a healthier planet for future generations!
