GTQF Goes Gold! September is a Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

We All Need A Hand, Be That Hand.
In This Aging World, Children And Young People Are Assets. Can we afford to let the potential of our children and youths go unrealised due to their socio-economic statuses or other life challenges beyond their control? It is our hope that you be part of the solution that ensures that these young warriors have the support and opportunities they need to excel.

September is a Child Cancer Awareness Month. As such, we at GTQF being pro-children and young people, visited the Pediatric Oncology Ward at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Malawi. Witnessing the courage and resilience of children battling cancer was both heartbreaking and inspiring. Tears filled us all when one of the children battling cancer said, "Ndikufuna ndizakhale m'Silikali oteteza dziko" Literally "I would like to be a soldier who protects the country." We all know that without adequate support, this child may never realise this dream.

To show that someone out there cares, we spent quality time encouraging and listening to their inspiring stories in addition to donating assorted items like washing soap, child-play items, and we feasted together on food and drinks. What a Day!

Thank you World Child Cancer for your commendable work globally and particularly in underresourced countries like Malawi.
